Carol E. (Book) Shank, 73, of Lititz, passed away on June 6, 2020. Born in Leola, she was the daughter of the late Mary Pauline Buckwalter and Ray Book.

Carol was no ordinary woman of her time; she was fiercely independent and a go-getter. She embodied a modern-day woman, long before it was modern. She was a truck driver for most of her professional life, visiting 48 states. She was an avid Philadelphia Flyers fan and loved to watch her crime shows on television. Her family will remember her as the loving matriarch who was somehow tough and warm at the same time.

She will be missed greatly by her daughter, Wendy Leisey, wife of David; Grandchildren: Jeffrey Leisey, husband of Amy and Eric Leisey; her Great-Grandchildren: Richard Smith and Diana Leisey all of Lititz. She was preceded in passing by her siblings: Raymond C. Book, Gerald Book and Bill Book.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
