Carmen R. Santos-Colon, 67, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2014 at Lancaster General Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Luis Santos and Luz Maria Colon. Carmen was the long time companion of Jaime Malave Colon.

Carmen was a member of San Juan Bautista Catholic Church and one of her favorite pass times was eating.

Carmen is survived by 3 sons and 2 daughters: Wilfredo Alvarado, husband of Amanda Navarro, of Ocala, FL, Gerardo Ortiz of Lancaster, Roberto Jimenez of Lancaster, Ivette Ortiz, wife of Edwardo, of Lancaster, and Norma Alvarado, wife of Esteban, also of Lancaster.

In addition, Carmen is survived by 22 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren; and 4 sisters and 2 brothers: Carmen L. Santos of Lancaster; Margarita Berrios of Lancaster, Carmen L. Santos of Puerto Rico, Ana M. Santos of Puerto Rico, Luis C. Santos of Lancaster, and Pedro L. Santos of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by her son, Victor Santos, her sister, Carmen Gladys, and brother, Angel Luis Santos.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, 425 S. Duke St., Lancaster, PA 17602 with the Rev. Edgar Palacios as Celebrant. Friends will be received 9:00 AM, at the church, one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
