Carmelo M. Almodovar, 66, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Petra Martinez and the late Carmelo Almodovar.

Prior to retirement, he was employed as a Foundry Worker. Carmelo was a Ham Radio enthusiast. He belonged to the Zello World Wide Amateur Radio Network. He enjoyed singing and playing the conga. His family and friends will miss his sense of humor and friendly nature.

Carmelo is survived by his mother; his children: Carmelo, David and Jacquelyn; 5 grandchildren; his siblings: Carmen, Carlos, Pedro, Amirea, Kenny, Teresa, Miriam, Anna, Mari, Auria, Madelyn, Evialise and Carmen, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Judy Cora.

A private service will be held at The Charles F Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory. Interment will be private at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
