Carl S. Seppi, 89, of Lititz, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016 at the United Zion Retirement Community. He had been a proud resident of Brickerville for 87 years. Born in Lititz, he was the son of the late Philip and Helen Steiner Seppi. He was the husband of the late Iva E. Martin Seppi who passed away in 2008. Carl had been a self-employed farmer in Brickerville for 65 years. Following his retirement from farming, he worked at Stauffers of Kissel Hill, the Trojan Yacht Co. and at the United Zion Retirement Community. He and his wife, Iva, adopted and were foster parents to over 50 children over the years. He also served with, and was a lifetime member of the Brickerville Fire Dept. Carl raised Dalmatians for over 50 years as well. Carl was a US Army veteran, serving as a military policeman in Germany from 1947 through 1951. He was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Penryn and Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Brickerville. He is survived by his children: Jeff Seppi of New Holland, Thomas married to Joyce Bixler of Manheim, Jelani and Taylor Seppi, both of Leola, and David and Joey Seppi and by his granddaughter Laura Martinez of Colorado. He was preceded in death by his son, James Lee. Seppi. Friends will be received on Friday, Sept. 2, 2016 from 10-11AM at the Spacht-Snyder Family Funeral Home, 127 S. Broad St., Lititz, PA, with the Funeral Service to follow at 11AM. Interment in Brickerville United Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Carl's memory to the Brickerville Fire Dept., 10 Hopeland Rd., Lititz, PA 17543.
