Calixta Rodriguez, 80, of Lancaster died Sunday, June 9, 2013 at the Heart of Lancaster. Born in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Rosendo and Angelica Seda. Calixta was the wife of Gumersindo Rodriguez with whom she celebrated 66 years of marriage. Calixta worked at a fabric factory for many years. She enjoyed cooking, and was a faithful member of San Juan Bautista Catholic Church in Lancaster.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Zoraida Sepulveda, wife of Raymond, of Bronx, NY and a son, Benjamin Rodriguez, husband of Monica, of Puerto Montt, Chile. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son, Gustavo Rodriguez and her 9 siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11AM on Friday, June 14, 2013 at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, 425 S. Duke St, Lancaster, PA 17602 with Rev. Allan F. Wolfe as Celebrant. There will be viewings on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM and again on Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 6-8PM at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. Interment in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church at the above address.
