C. Howard Wagaman, 91, of Lititz, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord, at United Zion Retirement Community on Saturday, May 13, 2017. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Ruth (Kreider) and Howard Wagaman. He was married to the late Ruth I. (Shissler) Wagaman for 65 years on June 8, 2011. Surviving is a son, Dennis H. (Kathy Gunnet) Wagaman, York; 2 daughters, Donna I. (Keith) Blackman, Ephrata, Diane L. (Rick) Smith, Denver; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and a sister, Ditty Bucher (Bill), Lancaster, and a sister in law, Bev Wagaman, Lancaster. He was preceded in death by a son, Douglas L. Wagaman; and a brother, Burnell Wagaman. Howard retired from the US Postal Service. Previously he worked at Armstrong. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and tin work. He loved his beloved lily pond. Howard will be remembered as a gentle soul. Most of all, Howard enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were the light in his eyes. Howard's Life Celebration Service will be held at United Zion Retirement Community, 722 Furnace Hills Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 on Tuesday, May 16, 2017at 1PM. Friends and family will be received 1 hour prior to the service. Interment in Brunnerville U.M. Cemetery, Warwick Twp. Memorial contributions in Howard's memory may be sent to the United Zion Retirement Community Activities Fund, address above.
