C. Barry Murry, 81, of Lancaster, passed away at his home on Monday, January 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Clyde Murry and Dorothy (May) Murry. He was the loving husband of Judith M. (Buckwalter) Murry with whom he shared over 48 years of marriage.

Barry was a 1961 graduate of JP McCaskey High School. He worked for Lancaster Newspaper for over 45 years before retiring. Barry enjoyed fishing and was an avid follower of the Philadelphia Phillies and Baltimore Orioles baseball teams.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Jill McCardell, wife of Patrick, of Peach Bottom, PA and David Murry, husband of Brittany of Lancaster; two grandchildren Trevor and Mackenzie. He was preceded in death by his sister, Joy E. Yost.

A Memorial Service celebrating Barry's Life will be held at 11AM on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584. Family and friends will be received from 10-11AM at the funeral home on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Barry's memory may be made to the Lancaster Cancer Center, Healing Journey Foundation, 703 Lampeter Rd, Lancaster, PA 17602.
