Burnam S. Godfrey Jr.,82, of York passed away on January 6, 2018. He was the son of the late Burnam S. Godfrey Sr. and Virginia Godfrey. Though he spent much of his life as a steel worker, his real passions were sports and family. He loved playing football, softball, and bowling and was an avid fan of Notre Dame and the Dallas Cowboys. He greatly enjoyed supporting his grandchildren and went to many of their events over the years. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Godfrey, his daughter, Lisa Chandlee, four grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and his siblings Thomas Godfrey and Shonna Winters (Harry). He is predeceased by his son Steven and his brothers Larry and Reginald Godfrey. Services will be held at 11AM with visitation starting at 10AM on January 20,2018 at Salem United Church of Christ at 24 Franklin St. Jacobus, PA 17407 with luncheon to follow.
