Bruce S. Hershey, 91, of Lancaster, passed away on December 15, 2018 at home with his family by his side. Born in Lancaster and baptized into the Moravian Church, he was the son of the late Guy and Esther Hershey and the husband of 63 years to the late Doris W. Hershey. Bruce was a 1945 graduate of Lititz High School and proudly served our country in the United States Army and Air Force from 1945 to 1953, including four years with Military Intelligence and Air Force Special Activities in Central Europe. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Technical Sergeant and was a life member of the American Legion Post 56 in Lititz. He was a graduate of the International Correspondence Schools, a senior auditor for Ernst & Ernst, controller of Daffin Corporation, and then part owner and president of Robert H. Ross & Co. from which he retired in 1989. Surviving are his son; Guy Hershey and wife Hope, daughter; Carol Bennett and husband Jack, and three grandchildren; Kelley Hershey, Delaney Bennett, and Kylee Bennett. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Doris. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.
