Brenda Lou Dotson, 65, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on October 10, 2016 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Blytheville, AR, she was the daughter of the late O'Dell & Eva Dotson. Brenda was the companion of the late George Green. They spent 20 wonderful years together. Church was very important to her. Brenda was last employed with United Way of Berks County. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, going on walks and to the movies. Brenda loved spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are children: Michelle, Teddy, Euanton, Abrom & Lellis Dotson, all of Reading, PA; step-children: Linda McDaniel of Columbia, SC, George Green, Jr. & Dana Green, both of Reading, PA; 16 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; siblings: Aretha Kimble of Blytheville, AR, Eugene Dotson, Eva Walker & Robert Dotson, husband of Bertha, all of Lancaster, PA, O'Dell Dotson, Jr. & Milton Dotson, both of Atlanta, GA. Brenda was preceded in death by sisters: Minnie Shelley, Ivory Spinks & Linda Davis; and 2 nieces: Barbara Spinks & Lori Dotson. Home Going Services will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 11 AM at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 701 N. Lime St, Lancaster, PA 17602. A viewing will take place from 10-11 AM at the church. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
