IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Brandon Allen
"Shakey" Sheaffer
July 29, 2018
Brandon Allen "Shakey" Sheaffer, 30, of Lancaster went home to be with the Lord on July 29, 2018.
Born in Lancaster on March 22, 1988, Brandon was deeply loved and the pride and joy of his surviving parents, Donna and Rob Sheaffer of Lancaster. He graduated high school in 2005 through Hempfield Homeschoolers. At age 16 he organized the building of a playground for Grace Baptist Church, a service that helped him earn his Eagle Scout. After high school, Brandon pursued his interest in welding. He was employed by Burnham Boilers where he recently received an award for ten years of service as a welder-pipefitter.
Brandon had a true love for life and adventure. He loved his friends, his dogs, and especially his family. He had a passion for trying new and different things. As a boy he enjoyed youth baseball. He was a left handed catcher, a position that was just the beginning of his unique talents. At age 10, he took on the yo-yo, and quickly won a local yo-yo competition. He also loved BMX biking, skateboarding, and hunting from a young age.
Brandon loved music, almost every style. True to his free spirited character, he pursued his interest in ballroom dancing, taking classes at Arthur Murray Dance Studios. His love for working with metal went beyond his career. He was a gifted welder who could turn ordinary metal scraps into beautiful and inspired pieces of art. He also enjoyed watching drag racing, tattoos, driving sports cars, kayaking, snowboarding, and snorkeling. He was a huge fan of motorcycles and enjoyed riding with his friends.
Brandon will be remembered for his easy going, free spirited personality, his matchless sense of humor, and his zest for life. He was a kind and loving son, a loyal friend, and a joy and light to those who knew him. He will be deeply missed, and forever held close in the hearts of those who loved him.
In addition to his parents, Brandon is survived by his sister, Stephanie Palmer (Sean) of Vicenza, Italy, nieces Julia and Diana, nephews Jonathan, Donovan, and Malachi, "Grandma" Susan Dunton of Gaithersburg, MD, Aunt Kristine Dunton of Mechanicsburg, PA, and Aunt Kelli Mull of Carlisle, PA.
Brandon, may you rest in the peace of our lord Jesus Christ, until at last we meet again.
Relatives and friends will be received at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA on Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and also on Sunday, August 5, 2018 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 1:00pm.
