Bonnie E. Whitman, 70, of Ephrata, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 8, 2020. Born in Ephrata she was the daughter of the late Eugene H. and Sara E. (Gray) Barrett. Bonnie was a lifelong member of Highpoint Community Church in Ephrata.

Bonnie was a natural caregiver, she worked for 39 dedicated years as a nurse's aide for the Visiting Nurses Association. She loved to sing and was involved with all of her church choirs. She also would sing to her patients as she cared tenderly for them. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and doing crossword puzzles. Bonnie enjoyed being in the company of her cat, Sunshine.

She is survived by her children Keith Whitman and Kevin Whitman, her grandchildren Angie, Amy, Jesse, and Katy, her brother Don Barrett, husband of Tammy, former spouse Glenn C. Whitman, and eight great-grandchildren.

Services are being planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Bonnie's name to Visiting Nurse Associations of America, 2519 Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20008.
