Beverly Lynn Mengel, 64, of Lititz, surrounded by her family, entered into her Lord and Saviors home on Sunday, November 25, 2018, at UPMC Pinnacle Lititz after a brief battle with ovarian cancer. Born in Lititz, she was the daughter of the late Harold Eckert, Sr. and the late Irene Strohm Eckert. Beverly is survived by her son Michael J. Mengel and his wife Teressa. Beverly also has three beautiful granddaughters whom she loved with all of her heart; Kayla L. Landis wife of Brandon Landis, Courtney L. Mengel, and Nicole B. Mengel. Beverly's family will continue to grow with the birth of her first great-grandchild who will arrive in June. Beverly is survived by two siblings; a sister, who was also her best friend, Nancy Litzenberger wife of Joe Litzenberger; a brother, Barry Eckert husband of Linda Eckert; and a sister-in-law whom she considered her sister, Donna Eckert, all of Lititz. In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her brother Harold Eckert, Jr. Beverly was currently employed by Commonwealth Fulfillment and Distribution, Inc. as Human Resource Manager. Beverly was the first employee of Commonwealth and was a vital person in making Commonwealth what it is today. Previously Beverly had worked for Sunline Coach Company for 23 years as Director of Quality. Beverly loved holidays; spending time alone reading or watching movies; but what she loved most, was being with the people she loved dearly, her family. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services which will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, December 1, at the Spacht-Snyder Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 127 South Broad Street, Lititz, PA, 17543, where Pastor Wes Siegrist will lead the services. Visitation to the family will begin at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Brickerville.
