Betty L. Zane, 91, of Lancaster died Thursday, May 29, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Boiling Springs, PA she was the daughter of the late George E. and Nora Naomi (Leahy) Smith. She was married to Walter J. Zane who passed away in 1992.

She was a homemaker most of her life and took joy in being a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Betty loved traveling and enjoyed all the family vacations they took together throughout the years.

Betty felt very strong about her Christian faith.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Stephen F. Zane, of Philadelphia, PA, and Thomas S. Zane, husband of Lori, of Lancaster. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren: Danielle, Julian, and Lauren Zane and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael J. Zane and numerous brothers and sisters.

A Memorial Service will be at 11AM on Monday, June 2, 2014 at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N. George St, Millersville, PA 17551. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Private Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
