Betty Jane Strosser, 82, formerly of 704 Union Street, died Tuesday at Moravian Manor in Lititz.

Born in Lancaster, Betty was the daughter of the late Ernest and L. Mae (Rice) Oettel. She was the wife of the late Paul R. Strosser, who died in 2002.

A  homemaker and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Betty was well-known for her cooking and baking talents.

She is survived by daughter: Sharon Lee Strosser of Lancaster; a son Richard Paul  married to Joan Strosser of Akron, and by two grandchildren, Beth and Ryan Strosser. Additionally she is survived by 2 brothers: Robert  married to Christine Oettel of Millersville, and Charles  married to Patricia Oettel of Conestoga; and 3 sisters: Jeannette Schoenberger of Lancaster, Mildred Zelonis of Lancaster, and Anne  married to Lewis Martin of Millersville.

Friends will be received at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 440 St. Joseph St., Lancaster, PA 17603 on Saturday from 9-10AM, with Mass to follow at 10AM. Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Betty's memory to the St. Joseph Catholic Church Capital Fund.
