Betty Sneeringer, 90, a resident of Ocean City, NJ, and Lancaster, PA passed away at her home on March 25, 2019. Born in Detroit, MI she was the daughter of the late Royden and Anna (Gegg) Catanach. Betty was the wife of the late John Ruof and the late Dale Sneeringer. Betty attended Immaculata University where she received her Bachelors Degree in English and Temple University where she received her Masters of Education. Betty went on to teach English at Lancaster Catholic High School and Dulaney High School in Maryland. Betty had a passion for reading. A whirlwind of energy, Betty was deeply involved in volunteering for the North Museum, the Ocean City museum and was the president of the Women's Club of Lancaster. She is survived by her children; Susan Wentling (John) and Stephen Ruof, her sister, Anne Blom, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husbands, John and Dale, her daughter, Christine Larkin, and her grandson, Matthew Larkin. Services are being handled by Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory.
