Betty W. Schiding, 67 of Lancaster died March 31, 2009 at Lancashire Hall following a long illness. Born in Chincoteague, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Howard Daniel and Anna Lee Barett Whealton. She was the wife of the late James R. Schiding who died in 1983.

Betty's love for her family, especially her granddaughter, was very strong, as was her faith.

Surviving is her son; Harry Schiding, Lancaster, granddaughter, Victoria Schiding, four brothers: Daniel (Elvie), Morris, Howard Lee, Jimmy Wayne, and sister-in-law, Mary Schiding Burgess.

Funeral Services will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, Pa. on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 1:00PM with the Rev. David Kreider officiating.
