Betty Ann (Finnegan) Farbo, 86, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at the home of her son James Farbo and his wife, Patty in Ephrata. Born in Cassandra, PA on February 16, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Krumenaker) and Russell Finnegan. She was a loving wife to husband, Michael P. Farbo. They were married on January 19, 1952. Michael preceded her in death in 2013. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a former member of St. Anthony of Padua. She had a devotion to volunteering at St. Joe's. She enjoyed sewing, spending time with her family and she was known to be a voracious reader and the best grandma ever. Surviving are her two sons, Michael G. Farbo, husband of Darlene, of Pequea, James P. Farbo, husband of Patty, of Ephrata, seven grandchildren, Sarah, Aaron, Zeb, Evan, Megan, Mariah, Mikah and a great grandson Arthur. She is survived by her brother, Charles Finnegan, two sisters, Sister Marie Aimee and Kathleen Shaffer. Betty was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Louise Bucci, Mildred Sue Pytel, Rita Jane Lackatos, and a brother David J. Finnegan. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 11AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church 440 St. Joseph St., Lancaster, PA 17603 with The Rev. Allan Wolfe as Celebrant. A closed casket visitation will be held at the church from 10-11AM prior to Mass. Interment will be held in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice & Community Care and special friend Dave. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Betty's memory may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
