Betty Jane Baker, 74, of Lancaster, PA, passed away unexpectedly on September 15, 2016 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Paul & Mary Wilson. Betty was the loving wife of John Baker. Betty loved laughing & watching the Golden Girls. She liked being with her family and spending time with her grandkids. Betty was a missionary & member of Brightside Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her husband, John, are children: Denise Jenkins (Luke), Betty Hogue (Rodney), Sherri Wilson, Linda Wilson & Lois Wilson; half-brother: Paul Wilson, Jr; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters: Shirley Jenkins, Lois Myers & Stella Wilson; 1 grandchild & 3 great-grandchildren. Home Going Services will be held Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 11 AM at Brightside Baptist Church, 515 Hershey Ave., Lancaster, PA 17603. A viewing will be held from 10-11 AM at the church. Interment will be at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Brightside Baptist Church.
