Bessie L. "Sis" Evans, 91, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Hamilton Arms. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Vatter Charles and Albert Charles.

She was the loving wife of Charles S. Evans, Sr. with who she celebrated 73 years of marriage. Sis enjoyed cooking, crocheting, traveling and most of all her trips to the casinos, "cha ching-cha ching".

Surviving in addition to her husband are 4 children, Nancy Zahm (Bill Book), Helen Fink, Charles, Jr. (Denise) Evans and Jeff (Kathy) Evans; 8 grandchildren, Tim Zahm, John Zahm, Barry Fink, Lori McCauley, Karen Tyler, Charles Evans III, Patrick Evans and Danielle Evans; 18 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren. Sis was preceded in death by 2 grandsons, George Zahm and Todd Evans and 2 brothers, Albert and Edward Charles.

A Visitation will take place from 4 to 4:30 PM, followed by the Memorial Service at 4:30 PM, with Chaplain Grace H. Stinchcomb officiating, on Tuesday, January 11, 2010, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. Interment will be private. Please omit flowers.
