Bernadine G. Huber, 96, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2012 at ManorCare in Lancaster after a brief illness.

She was the wife of the late Wallace B. Huber, who passed away in 1973. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Hugh A. and Elizabeth Hoin Hodgen.

Bernadine had been a homemaker, and had worked as a press operator in the 1940s with Hamilton Watch Co.

She was a lifetime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and had been a long-time volunteer at the library at St. Mary's Catholic School.

Bernadine enjoyed her garden and watching the birds that visited there, and she was a Phillies and Notre Dame football fan. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren and great grandchildren who always enjoyed their grandma's cooking.

She is survived by her children, all of Lancaster: Bernadine L.  married to Richard Pursel,  Margaret A. married to Jack Hottenstein, and Wallace J. Huber; her 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her 3 sisters and 1 brother.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 from 9-10AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 119 S. Prince St., Lancaster, PA 17603, with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10AM. Interment in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Flowers will be received at the church, or contributions may be made in Bernadine's memory to St. Mary's Catholic Church at the above address.
