Barry E. Demmy, 61, of Brownstown, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late C. Eugene and Yvonne Frecht Demmy.  He and his wife Anne L. (Horn) celebrated their 39 ^th wedding anniversary on October 14 ^th .

A salesman, he worked for Triangle Refrigeration for twenty-five years.

He graduated from Manheim Central High School in 1963 and Thaddeus Stevens State School in 1965.

During the late 1960's and into the 1970's he played softball in the Lancaster Men's Recreational League.

An accomplished bowler, he enjoyed golfing and gardening.  He was also a diehard Philadelphia sports fan.

Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Tricia A. married to Branden Eckman of Lancaster; Tamara Y. married to Robert Weaver of Lititz; a son Tyler E. married to Kerri Demmy of Lititz; two grandchildren, Rachel Weaver and Trey Eckman.

The family will receive friends at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel Inc., 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA on Tuesday November 14 ^th from 6-8 p.m.  The interment will be private.  In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Barry's memory to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Dr., Lancaster, PA 17603.
