Barbara L. Young, 91, passed away on May 22, 2025, after a brief illness.

Born in Lancaster, PA she was the daughter of the late H. Paul and Nettie Hostetter. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years George E. Young and is survived by her two daughters Lee Ann and Kris both of Lancaster, PA.

After graduating from J.P. McCaskey High School, Barbara was employed by Armstrong Cork Company. She was a co-founder of the Hostetter Day Camp in Manheim PA with her sister the late Mary Ann Hostetter and her mother Nettie Hostetter. Additionally, Barbara was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Lancaster.

Barbara loved gardening in her flower beds, visiting the shore in the fall, and listening to live organ music at church. She will be greatly missed by all her friends and family.

A private service will be held at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent in her memory.
