Barbara Jane Wise, 73, of Columbia, passed away with her family by her side at Lancaster General Hospital on July 16, 2018. Born and raised in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late William N. Greiner, Sr. and Margaret R. (Geiter) Greiner. Barbara was incredibly technically savvy and passed the time by playing games on her phone and staying connected to her loved ones by social media. She was also a movie lover, having seen almost every movie imaginable. Barbara was also a Phillies fan after some encouragement from her son Jimmy and friend Chet. Barbara's life was one of adversity and struggle, but it was all worth it for the incredible amount of love she had in her life. She deeply loved her family and treasured the time she got to spend with her son Jimmy and granddaughter Amanda. Her world revolved around them. She always had the biggest smile when they would visit. They will miss her dearly. Barbara is survived by her son James "Jimmy" Nixdorf and his wife BJ, her granddaughter Amanda Nixdorf, great grandchildren, Ari and Gabe Kline, her brother Bruce Greiner and his wife Gigi, and sister Jane Greiner . She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Margaret Greiner, brothers William "Bill" Greiner Jr. and Richard "Dicky" Greiner, and her sister, Jeanie Greiner. The family of Barbara Wise would like to extend their thanks to all the staff at Susquehanna Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, especially J-Bell, Red Rocket, and Annette. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 7:30PM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory at 414 E. King St. Lancaster, PA 17602. Guest will be received prior to the service starting at 6:00PM. Interment will be Friday, July 20, 2018 at 12:30PM at Riverview Burial Park located at 1007 S. Duke St., Lancaster PA 17603. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Barbara's memory to Hospice and Community Care at 685 Good Drive, Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
