Barbara E. Wilson, 83 of Lancaster, died Wednesday Jan. 14, 2009 at Conestoga View.  She was the daughter of the late Eleanor Wilson and Samuel Icenberg.  The last surviving sibling of two brothers, Ellsworth and Donald, and one sister Eloise Wilson who all preceded her in death.  Other deceased family members included legal guardians Uncle and Aunt Frederick and Mae Wilson, also Albert Wilson, Emma Wilson Hill, Elizabeth Wilson and Edith Wilson Harriel.  Recent caregivers were Nelson Polite Sr. and his wife first cousin the late Jean Wilson Polite.  She is survived by many first cousins.

Barbara was physically and mentally challenged since birth, and was the longest and last residing resident from the original county home.  Her family wishes to express sincere thanks to the nurses and staff at Conestoga View for their loving and professional care given to Barbara since 1947.

Funeral services will be held at Conestoga View chapel 900 East King Street on Monday January 19 ^th , 2009 at 10:00 am with the Rev. Edward M. Bailey officiating.  Family and friends may attend the viewing from 9:00 am until 10:00 am.  Internment will be in Mellingers Mennonite cemetery.  Charles F.
