Barbara N. Varner, 62, passed away in Elizabethtown, PA on August 10, 2025, at Emerald Nursing & Rehab. Born in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Patricia (Mixell) Varner. Barbara was from the Shippensburg/Chambersburg area.

Barbara enjoyed listening to music and going on long walks. She loved animals, nature and camping.

Barbara is survived by 2 daughters: Stephanie Varner and Angela Varner; a grandchild, Marissa Kauffman; a great-grandchild: Freya; a sister, Linda Varner; nephews & nieces: Kimberly Lemieux, Cheryl Davis, Keith Staver, Larry Worthington, Ryan Diehl and Megan Diehl; and a great-nephew.

Barbara is preceded in death by a sister: Sondra Davis; and 2 brothers: William Varner and Steven Varner.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in Barbara's name to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Rd West, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
