Barbara J. McMillan, 91 of Masonic Village passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016. Born May 28th 1924 in Mt Jewett, PA. While growing up she also lived in Richmond VA, New York City and Providence RI.

She graduated from Hope High School in Providence, RI. , June 1942 and graduated from Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School, Providence, RI, and later from the Centenary Junior College in Hackettstown, NJ with an Associate of Arts in 1946.

Barb worked and lived in Waynesboro, PA after college until moving to Wilmington, DE to work in the DuPont corporate office.

She was married to the late Charles McMillan of Landenberg, PA.

She later managed the farm businesses books and become the dietician for the local school district. After many years of farming she and Charles started a business selling and installing wood and coal stoves which they operated until retirement. They retired to Lancaster County living in Willow Street and Lampeter before moving to Masonic Village in Elizabethtown. She was a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution and the Society of Farm Women. She and Charles enjoyed camping in their travel trailers and traveled over much of the Appalachian Mt area.

Surviving is a son, David McMillan husband of Roxanne of Bath, NY.

Interment will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Masonic Village Hospice, 1 Masonic Dr., Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
