Barbara "Barb" E. Ransbottom of Delaware passed away June 8, 2023. She was born in the fall of 1944 to the late Paul Altland and Virginia Pennington in Oxford PA. She spent most of her career in hospitality and the food industry as a prep cook until her retirement in 2020.

Barb was down to earth and had a gentle soul. She enjoyed spending time at home, and in her younger years she enjoyed gardening, boating, and fishing. Barb was a modest person and very humble. She always spared time to talk with her children over a cup of coffee or over the phone. She was also strong in her faith and a firm believer throughout her life.

Barb is survived by her children, Margie Schafer wife of Brian, KC Ransbottom husband of Leslie, Michael J. Owens, and Douglas M. Owens Jr.; her grandchildren Amelia Ransbottom, Isabell Ransbottom, David Fry Jr, and Grace Reinhart; and her great grandchild Kendra.

A memorial service will be held by family at a date to be announced.
