Barbara R. Allison, 80, of Manheim, passed away at Mt. Hope Nazarene Retirement Community, Friday, February 18, 2022. Born in Flushing, Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Jean (Clinton) Allison.

Barbara worked as an accounts receivable clerk and in sales at Macys.

A very independent person, Barbara was a woman of great determination. She enjoyed living close enough to work that she could walk. Of the Methodist Faith, Barbara also loved spending time studying her Bible and teaching a Sunday School class. Barbara was always a kind person and never had a negative thing to say about anyone. She was also an avid reader and in later years enjoyed coloring and word searches.

Barbara will be greatly missed by her family, who she loved greatly, including her siblings: Sandra Goldberg, wife of Bernard; Bruce Allison, husband of Lori; and Virginia "Ginny" Schierman, wife of Steven; 8 nieces and nephews and 11 grand-nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her sister, Bonnie Allison.
