Audrey (Hollingsworth) Giering, 83, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 25, 2017. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Helen (Hill) Hollingsworth. She was the loving wife of the late Gary J. Giering who died in 2009. Audrey enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Meadia Heights Golf Club. She also loved to bowl and ski. She was an avid reader, loved to play Bridge and games of all types, and was a trivia buff. Audrey also enjoyed opera, but more than anything, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Audrey is survived by her 3 children: Robin Costa, of Encinitas, CA; Christopher Giering, husband of Syvian, of Lancaster; and Elizabeth Hetrick, wife of G. Blaine, of Lancaster; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Audrey was preceded in death by 5 siblings. A celebration of Audrey's life will take place at 2PM, on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543.
