Arlene R. McCreary, 83, formerly of 959 Parkside Lane in Lancaster, passed away on Friday at Brethren Village.

She was the wife of Dennis P. McCreary, with whom she celebrated 65 years of marriage this past July 11 ^th . Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin H. and Irene Warfel Benedict.

Arlene had worked at the RCA Corp. during World War II, as a dress maker during the Korean War, and later at the Hamilton Watch plant in East Petersburg.

She was a 1942 graduate of McCaskey High School and was a member of the school's alumni association. Arlene enjoyed gardening, traveling and reading.

In addition to her husband, Arlene is survived by a sister Lottie Benedict Hartman, wife of Robert K. Hartman of Spring Hill, FL.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 10-11AM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA, with the funeral service to follow at 11AM.
