Arlan L. Miller passed away peacefully on July 3, 2017 at his home in Landisville, PA. Born in Hamburg, PA on Feburary 26, 1933. Arlan was the son of the late Lester and Emma Berger Miller. For 27 years, he was the husband of Sandra Miller of Landisville. Arlan graduated from Hamburg High School in 1950. He attended Bucknell University where he studied Commerce and Finance and was a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity. He also attended McCann School of Business. Arlan served in the US Army and was assigned to Trieste. While in Europe, he graduated with honors from the US Army Intelligence School in Germany. Arlan was retired from Ned Bard & Son where he was the company controller. He enjoyed gardening, was an avid reader and a royal Phillies and Eagles Fan. Arlan enjoyed spending time with his little dachshund, Joey. In addition to his wife, Arlan is survived by a daughter, Karen Garrett of Wyomissing, PA; stepdaughters: Julie, wife of James Barton, Leesburg, VA, Deborah, wife of Leroy Keens, Salisbury, NC; a sister, Carol Fegley of West Lawn, PA; five granddaughters, a grandson and three great-grandsons. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard Miller and a stepson, Jeffrey Graves. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 22 at 11 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 222 N. George Street, Millersville, PA 17551 with Reverend Constance Mentzer presiding. Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM at the church. Arlan will be laid to rest at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
