“Tony” Marko

Anthony T. "Tony" Marko, 81, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Martin Memorial South Hospital in Stuart, FL after being stricken at his winter home in Stuart. He was born in Lebanon to the late Rudolf and Cora Irwin Marko. Tony and his wife Deborah E. Keller Marko celebrated 39 years of marriage last August 11th.
Tony was an Eagle Scout. A graduate of Lebanon High School, Tony served as a SGT in the US Army, stationed at Fort Knox with Troop D 6th Armored Calvary from 1959 to 1962. He worked at Conestoga Marine for 45 years selling his favorite Sea Ray Boats.
Chrysler products, Sea Ray Boats and Harley-Davidsons were always part of Tony's life. He and Deb visited all 50 states, including the 48 continental on a motorcycle and visited Harley shops in Alaska and Hawaii. For his 80th Birthday they completed the Four Corners Ride travelling 10,336 miles in 21 days with the Southern CA Motorcycle Association.
Tony currently owned three Harleys, including an AMF, and he had just ordered a new 2018. His Sea Ray boats include a 1970 15' and 1989 44' that is moored in its slip at Tidewater Marina in Havre de Grace. Tony often offered his services to Tidewater Marina as an independent contractor.
He was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church; Lancaster H.O.G., Savannah H.O.G. and Treasure of Coast H.O.G.; and a life member of United States Power Squadron and Harley Owner's Club.
Surviving Tony is his loving wife Deb and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many wonderful friends.
Viewings will take place 6 to 8 PM Monday, Nov. 27 and 10 to 11 AM Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017 at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. The funeral service will be 11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home with Deacon Peter Jupin officiating. All are invited to ride your Harley and join us following the funeral in procession to Indiantown Gap National Cemetery for the 1:30 PM Interment with Military Honors. Please omit flowers. Memorial Contributions may be made to PA Dutch Council, BSA, 630 Janet Ave., Ste. B-114, Lancaster, PA 17601, with "Programs @ Camp Bashore" in the memo.
