Anthony E. Discavage, Jr., 65, of Lancaster passed away peacefully of lung cancer on August 21, 2012 at the Hospice and Community Care Center, Mount Joy surrounded by his family. Born in Ephrata, he was the son of the late Anthony E. and Susan (Sandoski) Discavage. Tony was the husband of Maria Teresa Pfautz with whom he celebrated 21 years of marriage.

Tony graduated in 1964 from Lancaster Catholic High School. Prior to his illness he was a van driver for the Manheim Auto Auction; prior to that he worked as a pre-press operator at Cadmus/Lancaster Press for 40 years. Tony enjoyed deep-sea fishing, traveling, spending time with his family and was "always up for a new adventure."

Surviving in addition to Tony's wife, Maria, are his step-sons, Michael Pfautz, husband of Shannon of Clay, NY and Eddie Pfautz of Largo, FL; grandchildren, Michael and Alex; 3 brothers, Donald A. Discavage, (Anita) of Lititz, Gregory D. Discavage, (Diane) of Spotsylvania, VA and Thomas Discavage, (Theresa) of Lancaster; and a sister, Suzanne Diller, (Robert) of Mount Joy; nephews and nieces: Donald Discavage, (Kendall), Lauren and Matthew Discavage, Jasa Hathaway, Katy Matthews, Beth Bisciglia, Sara Martinez, Chad Cowles, Mackenzie and Riley Bedwell, Travis Cowles, (Noel),  Josh Discavage, (Kate); Cole, David and Andrew Discavage and Tom Moore.

Tony was preceded in death by a brother, David Discavage.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. A viewing will be held from 10-11 AM at the funeral home. No Interment.
