Anthony "Tony" Colatta, Jr. 76, of Leola, PA passed away January 9, 2015 at his residence. He was the husband of Vivian R. Martin Colatta to whom he was married to for 43 years. Born in Lancaster on April 11, 1938 he was a son of the late Anthony and Agnes Puleo Colatta. Mr. Colatta attended St. Anthony Grade School and was a 1955 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School where he played football. He was the owner/operator of Colatta Beverage in Leola from 1977 until his retirement in 1994. Tony was a member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ephrata where he was an usher and member of the Benevolent Society. He also taught Qi Gong at various places around the area including the YWCA and was an avid LCHS football fan along with the Phillies and Notre Dame. In addition to his wife Vivian he is survived by four daughters Christine, wife of Jim Gallagher of Harrisburg, Susan, wife of Richard Juliano of Landisville, Robin Whaley fiancé of Michael Sanchez of Lititz and Tonyah Colatta-Rigney, wife of Scott Rigney of Stevens; eight grandchildren Ryan Shellenhamer, Erica Juliano, Neil Whaley, III, Amanda Juliano, Morgan Steffy, Anthony Juliano, Regan Colatta-Rigney and Evin "Rocco" Colatta-Rigney; one great-granddaughter Olivia Shellenhamer; two sisters Ceida Ebert of Downingtown and Amelia "Dolly" Colatta Sabatine of Lancaster. Mr. Colatta was preceded in death by his daughter Tonyah Lorise Colatta and sister Mary Cicero. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 10AM at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 320 Church Ave. Ephrata, PA 17522. Friends will be received on Tuesday evening from 6-8pm at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike and again on Wednesday 8-9AM at Snyder's. Interment will be held at St. Anthony's Cemetery at a later date. Flowers are welcomed and memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Community Care, 685 Good Drive P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604 or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
