Anne E. Cowan, age 99, died at The Glen at Willow Valley Retirement Community on November 6, 2012.  Born in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Anton and Anna B. Erzen.  Her husband, Frank P. Cowan, died in 1987.

Anne was employed by the U.S. Tax Court in Washington D.C.  She moved to Willow Valley from Fairfax, VA in 1993.  She enjoyed china painting and boating on the Chesapeake Bay.

Anne is survived by a brother, David R. Erzen, husband of June, of Pittsburgh; a sister, Isabell E. Alleman, wife of the late Raymond A. Alleman, of Lancaster and many nieces and nephews.
