Anna Veronica (Jenter) Hoffman, 90 years, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Cavalry Fellowship Homes, Lancaster, PA. She was born in Bronx, NY on January 13, 1931 to Louis and Anna Jenter (both deceased). For 51 years, Anna was the wife of Henry M. Hoffman (deceased 2003). She was the loving mother of Robert H. Hoffman (deceased 2002); John L. Hoffman (Lancaster, PA); and Anne V. (Hoffman) Lefever, wife of Dwylan Lefever (Lancaster, PA).
Anna was a cherished grandmother to Michele A. Hoffman (Denver, PA); Bobbiann M. (Hoffman) Milicia, wife of Angelo Milicia (Somerdale, NJ); Thomas H. Hoffman (deceased 2020); Jason C. Lefever (Philadelphia, PA); Kelsi A. Lefever (Lancaster, PA); and Robert J. Hoffman (Philadelphia, PA). Anna held dear her five great-grandchildren: Matthew and Lauren Laudenslager (Denver, PA); and Anthony, Ava, and Alexandra Milicia (Somerdale, NJ).
One of 10 children, Anna leaves behind sisters Mary (Jenter) Wharton, Ruthie (Jenter) Ardolino, and a brother James Jenter. She will also be greatly missed by her numerous surviving nieces and nephews.
She was everyone's grandmother and was known as "Grandma" to close friends of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, alike. Anna was a sweet soul with a bright smile and a gentle temperament. Her legacy lives on in the values she modeled for her children and grandchildren. The importance of family, an appreciation of beauty, and the pride of keeping an immaculate home were all high on her list of priorities.
Anna loved her nail-polish (especially red), her jewelry, and her perfume. Her word searches; her fondness of chocolate or sweets of any kind; and her delight in a hot cup of tea were her simple pleasures. Anna enjoyed her annual extended visits to New York to visit her family, as well as her weekend/week-long stays with her grandchildren. Arguably, she will be remembered primarily for her gift of gab, which was her most endearing quality. Although Anna lived in Lancaster for almost 40 years, she never lost her New York accent, and was proud to tell everyone of her New York City roots.
Anna was loved and will be missed by all who had the opportunity to meet her.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Caring Hospice, 101 Good Dr.1st Floor, Lancaster, PA 17603.
Interment will be private.
