Anna Mae Eckman, 96, of Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Lancashire Hall. She was the wife of the late Roy G. Eckman, who passed away in 1984. Born in Millersville, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Lillian Shertzer Genkinger. Anna had worked as a seamstress for Tidy's Manufacturing of Quarryville, and had also worked at Willow Valley Manor and the RCA Corporation. She enjoyed gardening and loved to travel, going with her late husband to Austria, Germany, and Alaska until his passing, and with her sisters when they were younger. Anna was a member of Mount Eden Evangelical Lutheran Church of Strasburg. She is survived by her son, Robert E. Eckman of Elizabethtown. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Alice, Grace and Ruth, and by her brothers, Ben and Chris. Friends will be received on Monday, August 7, 2017 from 10-11AM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA, with the Funeral Service to follow at 11AM. Interment will follow at Conestoga Memorial Park.
