Anna R. Carrigan, 83, formerly of 137 Nevin St, Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at Lancashire Hall.

She was the wife of the late George C. Carrigan Sr, who passed away in 1994. Born in Abbottstown, Anna was the daughter of the late John and Eva Zartman Rutter.

A beautician, she had operated her own shop, Anna's Beauty Shop, from her Nevin St. home for 35 years.

She had been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, enjoyed reading, and liked to travel with her late husband in years past.

She is survived by a son: George C., Jr.  married to Kathleen Carrigan of Conestoga; 3 grandchildren: George Carrigan III, Jennifer Korosec, and Craig Carrigan; and 4 great grandchildren: Ian and Derek Carrigan, and Jack and Tara Korosec. She is also survived by 2 brothers, both of Lancaster: William and Robert, married to Vivian Rutter; and by a sister, Mary married to John Holub of Lancaster.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 10-1030AM from the Charles Snyder Funeral Home,  414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA, with the memorial service to follow at 10:30AM.
