Ann Marie White, a lifelong resident of Northeast Philadelphia, passed away at home with her husband Peter. She was the beloved daughter of the late Robert and Roberta McGady and the wife of Peter White. She was also the former wife of John Jordan.
Ann Marie was a loving sister to John (Karen) McGady, Steven (Francine) McGady, Robert (Ann) McGady, and Mary Ellen McGady (Alan Forman). She was a devoted mother to John Kenneth Jordan, Elise (Joe) Costick, and stepdaughters Debra White and Jami (Rob) Werner. She was a proud grandmother to her seven grandchildren, as well as a cherished aunt and dear friend to many.
Ann Marie attended Nazareth Academy High School and West Chester University. As a registered nurse, she devoted her life to caring for others. Compassionate and generous by nature, she was always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Some of Ann Marie’s happiest memories were made traveling to Wildwood with her family, spending time with her grandchildren, watching Channel 6 Action News with Pete and hitting the slot machines at the Borgata.
Ann Marie was grounded by a deep sense of spirituality that guided her throughout her life. Her kindness, warmth, generosity, and unwavering willingness to help others touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and countless cherished memories. Ann Marie will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
