Andres Arroyo, 78, of Lancaster, died Monday, February 24, 2014 at Conestoga View.

Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, he was the husband of Vicenta (Silva) Arroyo of Lancaster, and the son of the late Pedro and Anastasia (Crespo) Arroyo.

A member of San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, Andres enjoyed working in his vegetable garden.

In addition to his wife of 50 years, he is survived by three children: Carmen Arroyo of Tampa, FL and Jose and Anastasia Arroyo of Lancaster; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 7 sisters: Maria, Cruzita, Rafaela, Dolores, Lydia, Marta, and Felicita Arroyo. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Jose, Carlos, and Pedro Arroyo.

Memorial services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 28, 2014 at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, 425 S. Duke St., Lancaster, PA 17602 with the Rev. Edgar Palacios as Celebrant. Friends will be received at the church one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
