Alverta "Verdi" V. Moyer, aged 67, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023, at Lancaster General Hospital. She was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, to the late Mary E. (Gebhard) and Raymond W. Miller. Verdi was the beloved companion of Larry Koch, with whom she shared 20 years of love and companionship.

She had a deep love for life and found joy in simple pleasures. Verdi enjoyed playing cards and had a talent for cooking and baking. Her culinary creations brought smiles to the faces of those fortunate enough to savor them. She cherished time spent with her family, finding warmth and comfort in their presence. Verdi was a devoted reader of her Bible and religious books, which provided her with spiritual solace and insight. She enjoyed playing cross-stitch on the computer, a creative outlet that allowed her to express her artistic side. One of her favorite places to visit was Ocean City, Maryland, where the serene coastline and gentle waves provided moments of tranquility and relaxation.

Verdi is survived by her daughter, Denise Wargo, wife of Damon of Lancaster; her grandchildren, Daniel and Sarah Snell, Devon Wargo (Lindsey Martinez), and Danielle Wargo; her great-grandchild, Damon Wargo; and her siblings, Raymond W. Miller, Jr. (Bonnie) and Carolyn Dise. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Kathy Miller. Verdi was preceded in death by her brother, David Miller, and her nephew, Jonathan Miller.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Verdi's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Charles F. Snyder III, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM until the time of the service.

Verdi's warm heart and her zest for life will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
