Alma E. Hartranft, formerly of Owl Hill Road in Lititz, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at Moravian Manor. Alma celebrated her 100th Birthday this past February 6 with family and friends. A lifelong resident of Lititz, she was the only child of the late Floyd W. and Edna B. (Bowers) Ritz. Alma was the beloved wife of Dwight C. Hartranft, and together they shared 56 years of marriage at the time of his passing in February, 1997.

Alma graduated from Lititz High School. She worked as a salesperson for Hager's Department Store in Lancaster, from where she retired after many years of service. Earlier in life, she was active in many of her children's activities, including the Cub Scouts and Band Parents. She was also a member of the Lititz Lioness Club. She enjoyed bowling and reading and took great pride in her home. She had a special relationship with her grandchildren and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Alma is survived by her children, Donna J. Schmehl and her husband Bruce of Sinking Spring, and Thomas J. Hartranft and his wife Linda of Lititz. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Mary Schmehl, Bruce Schmehl and his wife Stephanie, and James Hartranft and his wife Kayla.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at 11:00 AM at the Spacht-Snyder Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 127 South Broad Street, Lititz, PA, 17543, where friends and family will be received beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Machpelah Cemetery, Lititz. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Alma's memory may be offered to Hospice & Community Care, 685 Good Drive, P O Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604
