Alice E. Lane, 86, a homemaker and loving mother, of Lancaster City, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at LGH. She was born in Lancaster and was the daughter of the late Nathaniel Lane and Catherine (Stewart) Speaks.

Scoopie was a joyful lady who loved playing bingo, baking and spending time with her family.

She is survived by one daughter, Gladys V. Lane, of Lancaster, three sons, Charles T. Lane, of Columbia, Robert L. Henson, and Harold L. Lane, both of Lancaster, 15 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, one sister, Gladys Grigley, of Butler, PA, two brothers, Robert Stewart and Freddie Lane, both of Detroit. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Agnes V. Moore, and a grandson, Derek Henson.

A Home Going Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 2PM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory 414 E. King St. Lancaster, PA 17602 with Pastor Carmen Morales officiating. Viewings will be on Wednesday evening at Snyder's from 7PM-9PM and again one hour prior to the Funeral. Interment will be Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
