Alice E. Haverstick, 95, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on May 16, 2019 at Legends of Lancaster. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Mabel (Steinmetz) Harmes. Alice was the loving wife to the late H. Lester Haverstick, Sr.

Alice was a founding member of Lancaster Christian School. She enjoyed her time when she was driving children to & from school. She also liked to travel, was an avid reader, and loved feeding song birds. Her favorite bird was the cardinal. Alice loved her family and cherished spending time with them.

Surviving is a son, Dr. H. Lester Haverstick, Jr., husband of Sherry; 3 daughters: Catherine Frey, wife of Dean, Eileen Cawood, wife of Daniel, and S. Elaine Eppley, wife of Arthur; 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, John R. Haverstick, husband of the late Kimberly; and 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

A visitation will be held from 10-11 AM with a Funeral Service to begin at 11 AM on Friday, May 24, 2019 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N. George Street, Millersville, PA 17551. Alice will be laid to rest at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Alice's memory may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 2151 Oregon Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601.
