Alfred J. Winn, 85, of Evergreen Estates, Lancaster, PA, and formerly of Williamstown, MA, died Friday, January 28, 2011 at Hospice of Lancaster County in Mount Joy. He was married to Barbara C. Winn for 62 years last August 23 ^rd . Born in North Adams, MA and raised in Williamstown, MA, he was the son of the late Edward and Helen A. Murphy Winn.

Alfred served in the US Navy during World War II as a Motor Machinist's Mate First Class. He then spent his career teaching auto mechanics at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY.  Alfred was also an Honorary Member of the Williamstown Volunteer Fire Department, which he supported with service for many years.

In addition to his wife Barbara, Alfred is survived by his son Michael J., husband of Nancy Winn, Lancaster, daughter Jean E., wife of Durlin Lunt, Northeast Harbor, ME.  Alfred is survived by three grandsons, Nathan and Graham Winn, and Jeremy Lunt.  He is also survived by his brother John Winn and sister Catherine Winn, of Williamstown, MA.
