Alex, 21, of Leola, PA, passed away unexpectedly on December 13, 2015. Born in Syktyvkar, Komi, Russia, he was the son of Joseph & Patricia (Caterbone) Meyer. Alex graduated in 2013 from Conestoga Valley High School. He loved to play basketball, do gymnastics, go hiking and spend time outdoors. He had a big heart and always thought of other people. He was always concerned about others and enjoyed spending time with his family & friends. Surviving in addition to his parents, is a sister, Angela Meyer; in addition to many aunts, uncles & cousins. Friends will be received from 6-8 PM on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, PA 17602. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Friday, December 18, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 150 Water Street, New Holland, PA 17557. Friends may greet the family to offer condolences from 10-11 AM prior to Mass. Interment will be at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Alex's memory to the Mental Health Association of Lancaster, 630 Janet Ave., Lancaster, PA 17601.
