Alberta M. Witmer, 93, died at her East Petersburg home on Wednesday, February 17, 2016. She was born in Bowmansville to the late Howard and Mary J. (Messner) Hoshauer. Alberta's husband Richard B. Witmer died in 1988.

Alberta worked as a clerk for the former Erb Brothers Grocery Store in East Petersburg and several Turkey Hill Minit Markets. She enjoyed traveling to Wildwood, NJ, and was an avid WWE Wrestling fan.

Surviving Alberta are her sons, Stephen E. Witmer of New Providence and Randy J. Witmer, husband of Donna of East Petersburg; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and her brother William G. Hoshauer of Terre Hill. In addition to her husband Richard, Alberta was preceded in death by two sons, Jay H. Witmer and Barry L. March; daughter-in-law Monica L. (Gable) Witmer, granddaughter Michelle L. Wood and four siblings, Howard Hoshauer, Jr., Hazel Mohler, M. Helen Musser and John Hoshauer.

A viewing will take place 10 to 11 am, followed by the funeral at 11 am with Rev. David Kreider officiating, on Monday, February 22, 2016, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Interment will be in Bowmansville Union Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
