Alan E. Moyer, 70, of Strasburg died Tuesday, May 7, 2019. He was the husband of the late Linda C. Moyer.

Alan was an avid gardener and devoted much of his life to the fostering of troubled dogs. He was a self described curmudgeon and had a quick sense of humor.

Born in Freeburg, PA, he was the son of the late Gerald C. Moyer and Faye Mengel Moyer.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer, wife of Richard Klein of Willow Street, PA; his son Ryan, husband of Lorrie Rubincam Moyer of Lancaster, PA; five grandchildren; and his sister LuAnn, wife of Mark Hufnagle of Selinsgrove, PA.

There will be a viewing on Monday, May 13, 2019 from 6 until 7:00 PM in the Bachman Funeral Home, 7 South Decatur Street, Strasburg, PA.

Services will also be held at George P. Garman Funeral Home, Mount Pleasant, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Freeburg.
