Aiban Rivera, 36, of Lancaster, passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, September 25, 2019. Born in New York, NY he was the son of Ivan Rivera and Rosa Melendez. He was a barber, completing his training at Champ's Barber School, and he loved what he did. Outside of work, he had a passion for music, most notably rap music. Not only did Aiban listen to rap, but he also composed his own raps, writing the lyrics and producing the music. His rap was heavily routed in his Christian faith. In addition to rap music, Aiban was heavily interested in fashion. He collected hats and sneakers and was always seen sporting chains with crosses. He was very devout to his Lord and Savior. He attended and worked at the Worship Center. A joker at heart, Aiban loved to laugh and spend time with friends. His children were the most important thing to him. He cherished spending time with them, especially when they would play basketball and make music together. Aiban is survived by his loving parents; Ivan and Rosa, his children; Xavier, Jennasely, Elisha, Aviana, Aiban Jr., Jacob, David, and Jeremiah, and his siblings; Ivan Jr., Roselyn, Alexander, Ivan Yacet, Evanesse, Wendy, Laura, Jonathan, Barbara, and Gabrielle. A Funeral to celebrate Aiban's life will be held Monday, September 30, 2019 at 7:00pm at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory located at 414 E. King St. Lancaster, PA 17602. Guests will be received for a time of viewing starting at 5:00pm. Interment will be held at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery on Tuesday at 10:30 am. Guests wishing to be a part of the procession will gather at the funeral home at 10:00am. Aiban's family would like to thank everyone for their generous donations.
